Analytical 360 strives to offer a safeguard to the health and wellbeing of thousands of patients currently using therapeutic cannabinoids by infusing crucial data into an emerging market where today’s botanical and edible treatments often contain too many unknowns.
We have been serving the Washington Medical Marijuana community since 2011, providing safety-certified therapeutic cannabinoid analysis for the protection, education and empowerment of patients, growers, and collectives.

In our quest at Analytical360 to provide reliable testing, we employ high pressure liquid chromatography, or HPLC, in conjunction with ultraviolet spectroscopy to determine the levels of cannabinoids present in plants and extracts. The chromatography technique used separates the plant extract into the sample's different components, which can then be identified and accurately quantified. The elution profile generated from our chromatography provides information to help the patient determine which strain to select, how much of a dose to take, and aids the patient in developing a personal prescription to replicate this dose when their current supply runs out.
Our scientists directly measure the components that are present in a sample that cannot be measured by sight, taste, or smell. Other existing methods don't directly measure critical components and are not as precise or accurate. For example, gas chromatography, or GC, is unable to measure the so called un-activated or acidic forms of THC and CBD, which make up a significant portion of the cannabinoid profile. This data is especially critical when trying to consider a dosage of an edible or a tincture. If the product is not produced properly, the patient may not be getting the correct dose or a viable product, and the treatment may render ineffective.
Another method commonly used to analyze cannabinoid profiles is TLC, or thin layer chromatography. TLC is traditionally used as a method to crudely separate and identify compounds, but does not accurately determine concentration levels. Other new methodologies on the market use IR or infrared spectroscopy without separation of the sample before analysis. While these tests can be used to predict chemical composition, they are not widely accepted for the measurement of individual components in complex samples. In cannabis, over 500 different compounds have been isolated, of which only a hand full (THC, CBD, CBN and a few others) are routinely measured. Without proper separation of the compounds by a chromatographic technique prior to measurement by IR, the spectra generated are difficult to interpret. Many errors arise due to scattering differences between the molecules and absorbance of interfering compounds present in the sample; thus rendering any quantization of individual cannibinoids suspect.
In contrast, Analytical 360's HPLC method has been proven reliable for decades and is considered the analytical industry's most widely accepted workhorse. Our method employs HPLC with ultraviolet detection in order to provide the most comprehensive, accurate and reproducible results.
Analytical 360 was the first Cannabis Analysis Lab in Washington State to use HPLC technology. We currently test flowers, concentrates, edibles, tinctures and topicals for CBG-Acid, CBG, ∆9THC-Acid, ∆9THC, ∆8THC, CBN, CBD-Acid, CBD and CBC. More cannabinoids will be added as reference samples become available. We also include 9 Terpenes with each Potency test.
Multi Solvent Residue Test, Microbial Analysis, and Genetic Tests are also available.
